Summary

The Director, Human Resources - Global Design & Development at Hasbro will partner with senior business leaders to implement talent and organizational solutions. This role requires diagnosing issues, offering advice and coaching, participating in business planning, and driving organizational development initiatives. The successful candidate will leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions, adapt HR strategy to market trends, and advance Hasbro's DEI initiatives. Responsibilities also include talent development, succession planning, partnering with Talent Acquisition and DEI, and leveraging HR COEs. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in the Pawtucket, RI office.
Must have:
  • 10+ years in HR with senior-level business partnering experience
  • Consumer Products industry experience
  • Experience with Product Design, Development, and QA
  • Global experience (Hong Kong/Vietnam preferred)
  • Strong organizational development and change management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent business partner experience

Sitting at the intersection of Human Resources and our business leaders, HR Business Partners (HRBP) are in the unique position to shape employee experiences, ensure the company’s talent grows in meaningful ways, and make business leaders and HR at Hasbro as successful as possible. 

 

HRBPs are the primary HR contact for their business partners and have a deep understanding of organization, people, and business issues imperative for growth.  Further, as Hasbro transforms HR and optimizes work in centers of excellence and HR Enablement, the HRBP serves as a crucial partner in making HR COE’S, HR Enablement and segment work seamless and successful. 

 

This role will work across a complex set of business units to design HR solutions that will help to optimize the business model. The position requires cross organization communication and transformational change management and is responsible for the oversight, deployment, and management of human resources strategies to drive business success with a focus not only on today, but also positioning the organization for the future. This role will influence and collaborate within a highly matrixed, global HR team.

 

This is a phenomenal hybrid opportunity allowing flexibility working 3-days per week out of our Pawtucket, Rhode Island office!

 

A day in the life of a Director, Human Resources:

  • Identify and diagnose talent and organizational issues, partnering with senior business leaders to implement the right business and talent solutions.
  • Offer objective and balanced advice, guidance and coaching to leaders together with the HR enablement team on business challenges and people implications, leadership effectiveness, culture and alignment of enterprise HR programs.
  • Participate in business planning; champion a culture of continuous improvement, ensure that the appropriate talent structure, engagement model, performance management and recognition systems are applied to support business objectives.
  • Strategize and drive organizational development initiatives to ensure that the design, capabilities, processes, and culture of the organization deliver the business strategy.
  • Drive informed decision making by using data and analytics to identify trends and work with business leaders to determine root cause of issues; develop organizational effectiveness solutions.
  • Assess and understand changing business and market trends and adjust HR strategy accordingly.
  • Play an essential role advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive Hasbro through our hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusion practices.
  • Lead process to identify and engage talent to ensure continued development and advancement; Partner with business leaders to ensure a solid succession plan is in place for all critical roles.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and DEI to source and staff a diverse workforce and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Leverage the HR COE’s, proactively partner with broader HR team to share and further develop optimal practices.
  • Establish key metrics to drive measure and reinforce high service levels and internal advising deliverables from the human resources function and to also measure the
  • Operate in a collaborative, positive and open manner- modeling key cultural drivers in your work, team interactions and relationships with partners and employees.
  • Build effective work relationships at all levels of the organization, influence behavior, and manage change.

 

What you'll bring:

  • 10 plus years in progressively responsible Human Resources roles including significant senior level business partnering experience.
  • Experience working in the Consumer Products industry. Functional experience working with Product Design, Product Development, and Quality Assurance Organizations.
  • Global experience required: Hong Kong/Vietnam working experience in Consumer Products industry. 
  • BA/BS in Business, HR or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Business oriented, able to understand the organization from a commercial and operational point of view.
  • Must have strong Organizational Development and Change Management skills with experience partnering with businesses going through significant org transformations on a global scale.
  • Ability to lead broad projects, set targets and deliver and measure success against plans.
  • Proven track record of establishing credibility and delivering first class business partner experience to leadership, seen as the key partner in major business decisions.
  • Possesses both a strategic thinking capability and “hands on” HR plan implementation experience – able to strategically conceive of new ways of doing things and then pragmatically turn concepts into action.
  • Experienced in building and developing a contemporary and value-added HR team.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in the creation and execution of communication strategies
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels, track record of influencing executives, mid-level and senior management.
  • Strong influence, interpersonal and analytical skills and overall leadership capabilities.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws pertaining to the employment relationship

 

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $143,000  
  • Pay Range End: $214,500
