Fund Implementation, Senior Analyst
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Implementation team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Provide analytical support for investment implementation activities, focusing on improving efficiency and reducing operational risk.
- Assist the Head of Fund Implementation in executing portfolio management decisions, including asset allocation and investment manager changes.
- Coordinate daily portfolio exposure management activities, including asset allocation rebalancing, liquidity forecasting, and monitoring of derivative overlays.
- Collaborate with investment operations to maintain an accurate implementation pipeline and ensure best-practice execution of investment decisions.
- Participate in the design and implementation of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) for the Pacific Delegated Solutions business, contributing to data infrastructure and analytics.
What you need to have:
- A degree in an appropriate analytical discipline such as finance, economics, or mathematics; a postgraduate qualification (CFA, CIMA, or a relevant Master’s) is desirable but not necessary.
- 5-7 years of investment industry experience, with a strong emphasis on derivatives and derivative overlay strategies.
- Experience in portfolio construction for multi-manager portfolios, including the use of derivatives for risk management and performance enhancement.
- A solid understanding of various portfolio construction approaches, including passive, active, factor, core, and high conviction.
- Strong knowledge of investment markets and asset classes
