The Group Tax Manager will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the group’s tax reporting disclosures, identifying tax reporting risks, and recommending solutions. This role requires detailed knowledge of tax accounting and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate tax reporting, proactively liaising with finance teams, reviewing local market tax reporting, and preparing UK corporation tax computations. The role involves keeping abreast of tax accounting developments and technical changes. The candidate will work with the UK tax manager and handle withholding tax compliance. Other ad-hoc projects and business queries are also expected from this position.
Must have:
  • CTA and/or ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Experience in tax reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Experience with deferred tax recognition and provisions.
  • Experience using accounting and tax reporting software.
  • Experience of preparing UK corporation tax computations.
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills (excel and accounting packages)
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail orientated and ability to multi-task.

We’re hiring a Group Tax Manager, you can be based U.K wide but will be required to work from our London office on occasion. Role Purpose  This role will require an ability to assist with the preparation of the group’s tax reporting disclosures, for all reporting deadlines, including identifying tax reporting risks, recommending practical solutions and using reporting software. The role requires detailed knowledge and experience of tax accounting. You will also need at times to work autonomously but also recognise where internal and external input may be needed.  You will also assist with UK tax compliance matters.

The role is key to ensuring the group meets its tax reporting and compliance deadlines. It will require ongoing contact with key finance personnel in order to ensure that we understand the book data on which the tax reporting and compliance will be calculated.
    Key responsibilities: Group tax reporting
  • Working with the Group Tax Reporting team and finance teams to ensure that accurate tax reporting is carried out at all reporting dates, including all necessary tax disclosures.
  • Proactive liaison with finance teams to understand business developments to ensure appropriate tax reporting.
  • Review local market tax reporting input and assist country finance teams, where necessary, with tax reporting questions.
  • Review and work on group tax forecasting.
  • Responsibility for keeping abreast of tax accounting developments and technical changes.
  • Tax reporting for UK company-only statutory accounts.
UK tax compliance
  • Working with the UK tax manager.
  • Preparation of UK corporation tax computations and returns.
Other tax projects
  • Withholding tax compliance - being responsible for withholding tax compliance administration where UK companies are a party, including requesting Certificates of Residence from HMRC and completion of other administrative requirements.
  • Other ad hoc projects, including queries from the business.
Skills/Qualifications   Technical & Professional
  • CTA and/or ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Previous tax experience.
  • Experience in tax reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP, including interim reporting, on both a consolidated and company-only basis.
  • Experience of dealing with deferred tax recognition and provisions for uncertain tax positions.
  • Experience of using accounting and tax reporting software.
  • Experience of preparing UK corporation tax computations.
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills (excel and accounting packages)
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail orientated and ability to multi-task.
