Job Description

The Hardware Systems Design Engineer will help design the next generation of Apple products, integrating innovative technologies for excellent customer experience. The role involves developing and shipping products like MagSafe chargers and USB-C cables for retail. Responsibilities include leading product architecture, driving hardware system design, schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams on product definition, industrial design, validation, and manufacturing, and work with external vendors on product firmware. This hands-on role requires strong engineering fundamentals and creativity.
Must have:
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals
  • Experience in prototyping, hardware bring-up, bench instrumentation and validation
  • Experience in detailed EE design, EE schematics entry and layout
  • Experience with digital hardware design such as micro-controllers and digital interfaces
  • Experienced with HW and FW integration, specially USB-C, PD controllers and MicroPython
  • Advanced Hands-On Lab & Debugging Skills
Good to have:
  • Master’s, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with USB, UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG
  • Experience with high volume consumer products and manufacturing process
  • System HW product design experience working with multi-functional partners - EMC, de-sense and coexistence
  • Electrical system leadership or management experience
  • Proven track record of working in fast paced innovative work environment
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to guide critical decisions
  • Strong communication skills and outstanding ability to work well multi-functionally

Will you help us design the next generation of Apple products that integrate innovative technologies and provides excellent customer experience and seamless user interaction? Our team has developed and shipped a long list of products and merchandisers within retail space across the world. This includes specially designed MagSafe chargers and USB-C cables, security products, charging infrastructures and more. We are seeking a Hardware System Design Engineer for Retail and Event Product Design. We are searching for a driven and hardworking electrical engineer to work on electrical system design and develop hardware solutions for product merchandisers. The successful candidate will join a meticulous team who works towards excellence and specializes in providing the best possible customer experience with newly announced products. Come join us!

You will become part of a hands-on development team that nurtures engineering excellence and creativity. On the team you will engage with a rewarding variety of responsibilities: Leading the product architecture and driving HW system design Leading system schematic design, PCB layout and component selection and being the technical champion for all design reviews. Collaborating with wide range of multi-functional teams involved in the product definition, industrial design, validation and manufacturing. Working with multi-functional partners and external vendors to develop product FW. Working with leadership to define product schedules and allocate EE and FW resources Reviewing, challenging, and creatively influencing product concepts & roadmaps across groups. Travel may be required as the need arises.

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field plus 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals with experience in prototyping, hardware bring-up, bench instrumentation and validation

At , base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
