Job Description

The Head of Sales, Industry Pursuit at Google Cloud will lead a team of field sales representatives focusing on Retail, FSI, and Auto/Telco/Manufacturing sectors in Seoul, South Korea. Responsibilities include acquiring new customers, building C-level relationships, developing account plans, managing the team's daily operations, collaborating with internal and external teams, and driving pipeline growth. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in tech sales, particularly with SaaS/PaaS/IaaS products, and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams. They will develop an industry-first approach, understanding customer challenges and strategic goals to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive significant business growth.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in tech industry sales-related roles in one or more of the three sectors - Retail, FSI and Auto/Telco/Manufacturing.
  • 10 years of sales experience in the technology industry with SaaS, PaaS or IaaS products and platforms.
  • 10 years of team management experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • 15 years of industry experience, including 13 years of sales experience in tech industry sales-related roles in one or more of the three sectors - Retail, FSI and Auto/Telco/Manufacturing.
  • Experience working with and managing cross-functional internal teams (e.g. Business Development, Customer Engineers, Partner Sales) and external partners in implementation projects and negotiations.
  • Ability to acquire new accounts and territories, and manage business and commercial models while leading organizational transformations and delivering results.
  • Ability to build and lead a sizable field sales team, managing sizable business to be seen as the default trusted advisor by the customers.

You will lead a team of field sales representatives who strive to make a significant impact on the success of our customer, which translates into business growth and customer satisfaction in the assigned territory. You come with a proven track record of acquiring new accounts and will lead the team to create an industry-first approach focusing on three sectors: Retail, FSI and Auto/Telco/Manufacturing through understanding the customers' business challenges and strategic goals, identifying and articulating the unique value to the customers, and mobilizing internal resources to serve and deliver the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of performing field sales representatives and create an inclusive and growth-oriented culture. Focus on skills development and coaching to exceed business goals for the territory and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Acquire new customers with the industry-first approach for the three sectors - Retail, FSI and Auto/Telco/Manufacturing.
  • Build and expand relationships with C-level executives. Serve as the Cloud subject matter expert (SME) and influence the term direction of these accounts.
  • Develop and execute account plans, including a broader enterprise plan across verticals to go in the territory. Manage the team day-to-day, providing support for critical business opportunities and career mentorship.
  • Collaborate with Google account and technical teams to develop and drive pipelines and provide expertise. Develop go-to-market efforts with Google Cloud Platform partners.
