The Industry Manager, Retail role at Google requires managing client strategies and relationships, ensuring alignment with global strategies. Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, digital media sales, business development, online media environment, or digital marketing role.
  • Experience in building C-level partnerships.
  • Ability to travel internationally, as needed.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in an online sales, business-development or marketing capacity.
  • Ability to mentor account managers in an effort to drive their performance.
  • Ability to deliver results under deadlines with excellent service and consultative skills.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and own the client strategy and relationships, ensuring they ladder up to the global client strategy and direction for the client, and contributing to the global strategy.
  • Develop and maintain C-level relationships and serve as a trusted point of contact to our customers, showcasing a clear point of view on their business and helping them both optimize and grow their business.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to clients.
  • Structure joint business plans (JBPs) for key customer accounts and help transform growth curves through understanding of their business objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and goals.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape within your assigned markets and identify opportunities for Google to provide differentiated value, create scalability.
