About the Team
Our team focuses on the reasoning ability of LLM in human level and super human level. We invite researchers and engineers with a background in machine learning at all levels. We aim at pushing the limits of machine intelligence.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at ByteDance aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Watch your ambitions become reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at ByteDance.

Responsibilities
• Design and execute technical and theoretic research on mathematical reasoning of LLM
• Collaborate on research projects within the team or across countries
• Present research outcomes to internal and/or external audiences
• Prototype and explore novel solutions, conduct experiments to validate hypotheses, and provide insights to Product and Tech teams
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
• Undergraduate currently pursuing a Degree/Master/PhD in Computer Science, engineering quantitative field in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Rich experiences and strong skills in development of technologies in some of the following areas: large scale RL and/or RLHF, planning and search, LLM-based training and/or inference, etc
• Strong coding skills
• Experienced in tuning and analyzing deep learning experiments
• Experience in Deepspeed/Megatron
• Work and collaborate well with team members
Preferred Qualification:
• Candidates with top conference papers, coding competition awards or influential open-source projects are preferred
• Candidates with experience in Lean4/coq/Isabelle programming are preferred
• Candidates with experience in Ray/Rllib or other distributed RL library/package
