Job Description

Rockstar Games seeks a Marketing Manager for Live Services to develop and execute go-to-market campaigns for Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online. Responsibilities include aligning with development teams on game content, building marketing plans, executing campaigns across various channels (creative services, digital marketing, advertising, etc.), managing asset development and delivery, analyzing campaign performance, and staying abreast of competitive live service trends. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing/advertising, a passion for gaming, excellent communication skills, and deep knowledge of current live service titles. This full-time, in-office role is based in Rockstar's NYC headquarters.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. 

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Games Marketing team develops and executes all go-to-market campaigns and persistent online games programming across Rockstar Games’ suite of titles. 
  • We are responsible for leading the strategic planning and creative execution for all facets of marketing our titles including creative asset development, product packaging, social media, events, partnerships, promotions, retail and much more.
  • We are the key shepherds of the Rockstar Games brand, ensuring brand standards are adhered to across all channels and overseeing all extensions of the Rockstar Games brand through all consumer touchpoints.
  • We work closely with teams across all of publishing and worldwide development to ensure seamless execution of plans internally, in our game titles and across the world, including the always-on marketing of our Live Service titles. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Align with development on game content plans, design intention, and release strategies.
  • Build marketing plans for Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online that support goals and priorities across the businesses, with approval from marketing leadership. 
  • Execute marketing plans with cross-functional teams including creative services, digital marketing, advertising, communications, community, partner marketing, and analytics.
  • Maintain asset development schedules and manage asset delivery to international marketing offices, studios, external agencies, vendors, and partners.
  • Manage multiple projects to ensure timely deliverables and completion, including post-campaign measurements and learnings.
  • Be an expert on competitive live services and the overall industry landscape; ingest, organize, and disseminate that information to relevant publishing teams.
  • Ad-hoc support for live services marketing leadership including building presentations, developing plans, briefing assets, and communicating across teams. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in consumer marketing / advertising.
  • A passion for gaming, strong knowledge and interest in pop culture and the Rockstar Games brand.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep knowledge and time investment across current live service titles. 

SKILLS

  • Proficient with project management, relaying high level goals across teams, and visual communication. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize assignments to anticipate and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with analyzing campaigns, assessing impact and presenting results.
  • Creative thinker with the skills to analyze marketing challenges and develop effective solutions. 

PLUSES

  • Previous professional experience working with gaming or entertainment services.
  • Basic Photoshop knowledge.
  • Deep knowledge of GTA Online.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
