Job Description

The Sales Manager for Google's Accelerated Growth Team (AGT) in Dublin, Ireland, will lead a team focused on growing Google Ads investments for SMBs with high growth potential. Responsibilities include recruiting, developing, and motivating a high-performing sales team; achieving ambitious growth targets; analyzing data to develop strategic client plans; coaching sales behaviors (C-level engagement, objection handling); and building strong executive-level relationships. The role requires collaboration with Account Management teams and global AGT teams to refine best practices. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales leader with experience in digital marketing, a consultative sales approach, and a passion for helping businesses grow with Google's products.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in people management, and to identify, attract and develop talented people, and create a positive team culture.
  • Experience in leading high performing sales teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to own sales team operations, portfolio management, team building, KPI measurement, and execution.
  • Ability to model and coach business behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive selling.
  • Ability for consultative solution selling with a drive to innovate, and to be personable yet persistent.
  • Ability to be independent, who thrives on immersion in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and investigative skills.

Consulting with a wide variety of existing advertising companies of all sizes, you are committed to finding the optimal advertising solution for each client. Your interest in sales and the digital economy and your entrepreneurial drive enables brands to expand their businesses with Google's latest advertising products and solutions. Your understanding of online media combined with your commercial know-how shape how new and existing businesses grow. Using your effective communication skills, you are the face of Google to a portfolio of clients whose needs you listen to, and help define the strategy for how their products and services can reach thousands or millions of users.

The Accelerated Growth Team (AGT) is designed to grow Google Ads investments of small and medium sized businesses with significant expansion potential UK and Ireland. AGT specializes in building full funnel strategies to increase customer's return on investment, scale customer business base, and ultimately make business more net profit.

You will lead a team of talented Accelerated Growth Consultants, who hone their skill for digital marketing, business growth, solution promoting and consulting with clients. You will be coaching and developing the team with your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and problem solving abilities. You will role model customer centric sales and engage with the highest potential SMB advertisers directly. Finally, you will build a team culture of passion, risk-taking, yet humble and psychological safety.

You will also collaborate with the highly engaged and passionate Account Management sales teams and managers to devise strategies, and global AGT teams to shape management best practice for this model.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, motivate and develop a client-facing and high-performing sales team.
  • Deliver against ambitious business growth targets, grow engagement and client satisfaction for a portfolio of Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) in an assigned market.
  • Analyze data, trends, and client performance with your teams to develop strategic plans for customers while tracking activity and provide detailed data analysis weekly, driving consistent CRM tracking.
  • Model and coach sales behaviors: including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and selling.
  • Lead and strengthen executive-level relationships through key C-level meetings, business reviews and speaking engagements.
