We are building a tech-savvy International Accounting team that is passionate about Riot’s mission and values and committed to working directly with cross functional teams to advise and collaboratively solve some of our most challenging business issues, allowing teams to make good decisions, solving key operational issues and helping them act in the best interest of Riot.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be mainly involved in the general accounting operations of Southeast Asia (“SEA”) region in Riot Games. Your hands-on accounting experience and in-depth understanding of accounting principles ensure the general ledger is keeping Riot on a firm footing.
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records while being a lead on a number of projects for new compliance requirements or unique transactions. Most importantly, this role requires someone who understands Riot’s mission and values and is committed to helping teams creatively solve business problems.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the journals, account reconciliations, and update monthly reporting packages
Understand accounts, investigate fluctuations, monitor trends, identify unusual transactions, research the proper accounting treatment and propose a resolution
Review documents, including contracts, to identify accounting issues and propose solutions or alternatives.
Address accounting issues related to new/complex transactions by investigating the facts, and researching the proper accounting treatment
Review the current processes and systems and look for new ways of working and automation
Prepare annual financial documents and footnotes following GAAP
Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
4-8 years of experience in public or corporate accounting
2+ years in a Big 4 Assurance role
CPA, CA Singapore, or ACCA certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Creative and collaborative team player
Proactive, self-directed, able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and experience with high-volume, multi-currency transactions in a global business
Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle) is preferred
