Senior Analytics Engineer

We are Belka Games. Our company is one of the 20 highest-grossing game developers in Europe according to data.ai, and our audience recently surpassed the important milestone of 110 million players.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing and supporting BI solutions for our gaming projects. This position bridges data analytics and business needs, enabling business teams to access actionable metrics and insights through well-designed dashboards and analytics tools.

The core challenge of this role is to build a scalable analytics platform that effortlessly adapts to new projects, delivering essential metrics and insights with high data quality and transparency.

What you'll be doing: 

• Building and maintaining dashboards: Design and manage critical dashboards that reflect key business metrics and product performance, providing accessible and actionable insights for our product and executive teams
• Developing cross-project analytics solutions: Enable cross-project insights by developing integrated analytics frameworks and self-service dashboards. Collaborate with product analysts to optimize and scale the A/B testing platform
• Collaborating with business stakeholders: Partner with cross-functional teams to deeply understand their analytics needs, translating business requirements into robust data foundations and BI solutions that enable reliable, actionable insights
• Automating reports and alerts: Set up automated reporting and alert systems in tools like Slack and Asana, ensuring stakeholders receive timely updates on essential metrics and data changes
• Integrating data from external sources: Work with APIs to gather data from third-party services
• Optimizing analytics processes: Manage and optimize data workflows and scheduling to ensure efficient data management and reporting, including monitoring and improving the performance of analytics processes

What we need from you: 

• Experience in BI or Data Analytics and building business-ready dashboards, with a strong focus on user-friendly, adaptable design
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, cleaning, and preparation with the ability to optimize complex queries
• Knowledge of Python for automating processes and building ETL pipelines
• Business communication skills: Ability to work with business teams to understand their data needs and translate them into effective analytics solutions

What we'd like:  

• Strong proficiency in Tableau: Advanced skills in creating impactful, user-friendly dashboards and self-service reports that drive business insights
• Expert knowledge of Airflow: In-depth experience in orchestrating and optimizing complex data workflows to ensure reliable, automated data pipelines
• Knowledge of dbt or Dataform: Proficiency in data transformation and model management, applying best practices for data consistency and transparency
