Nasdaq offers a superb opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with a background in finance or technology, and curiosity about data and functional requirements to join our Nasdaq Trade Surveillance product team. This team is responsible for integrating and utilizing data within the NTS system, a leading global surveillance system for trading compliance. As a Senior Analyst, you will manage enhancement requests and production issues, propose solutions, and collaborate with internal teams for releases. You will define solutions for customer needs, lead the development and delivery of NTS Data across asset classes, and engage with external stakeholders to ensure clear product requirements.
Must have:
  • Take ownership of enhancement requests and critical application production issues
  • Propose solutions and work with internal teams to release required changes
  • Strong knowledge of Market Data/Private data from trading platforms, trading protocols, and exchange rules
  • Define the best solutions to address customer’s needs
  • Lead and handle the definition, development, and delivery of NTS Data for different asset classes and markets
  • Balance client desirability, financial viability, and technical feasibility throughout the product lifecycle
  • Engage with customers, vendors and exchanges to ensure product requirements are well defined and clear
  • Translate the product strategy into desired functionality expressed as requirements with documentation
  • Share knowledge on the product to internal teams and to customers with clear documentation
  • Communicate the product requirements to the development teams and ensure the needs have been met
  • Understand, define, and communicate the prioritization of product requirements with a mind toward business value, flow, and trade-offs
  • Actively review business risks, issues & impediments expressed by the delivery team
  • Ensure that development work is aligned with the design principles
  • Build quality into acceptance criteria and accept all work increments produced by internal data teams
  • Integrate with other business product lines and technology to align product’s strategy
  • Manage risks of judgment with a serious impact on the success of your product

The team is responsible for the how data will be integrated and used by the alerts and user interface of the Nasdaq Trade Surveillance system. NTS is the leading surveillance system globally for trading compliance teams around the world across various asset classes.

Job Description

As a Senior Analyst, you will work closely with other Product Delivery Specialists, Data specialists, Software Developers, and QA Engineers to take ownership of enhancement requests and critical application production issues, proposing solutions and working with internal teams to release required changes.

Who are we looking for?

Key skills required for this role will include a strong knowledge of Market Data/Private data from trading platforms, trading protocols, and exchange rules. You will be responsible for defining the best solutions to address our customer’s needs. You will lead and handle the definition, development, and delivery of NTS Data for different asset classes and markets, balancing client desirability, financial viability, and technical feasibility throughout the product lifecycle. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will also engage with customers, vendors and exchanges on a regular basis to ensure that the product requirements are well defined and clear to customers.

  • Implement the Vision – Translate the product strategy into desired functionality expressed as requirements with documentation to support and guide other internal team functions and the customer.
  • Communicate efficiently - Share knowledge on the product to internal teams and to customers with clear documentation.
  • Translate Needs – Communicate the product requirements to the development teams and ensure the needs have been met.
  • Prioritize Needs – Understand, define, and communicate the prioritization of product requirements with a mind toward business value, flow, and trade-offs.
  • Act as a Servant Leader – Actively review business risks, issues & impediments expressed by the delivery team. Ensure that development work is aligned with the design principles.
  • Improve Quality – Build quality into acceptance criteria and accept all work increments produced by internal data teams. Integrate with the other business product lines and technology to align your product’s strategy with the overall needs advised by the business line and technology executives.
  • Critical Thinking – Manage risks of judgment with a serious impact on the success of your product.
