Job Description

Tesla seeks a Senior Frontend/React Native Software Engineer in Europe to build high-performance, scalable web and mobile experiences enhancing customer ownership journeys. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining web/mobile applications with a focus on frontend performance and UX, building reusable components using React.js, React Native, and TypeScript, optimizing code for performance and accessibility, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying current with development trends. The role requires expertise in React.js, React Native, TypeScript, and state management solutions, along with experience in modern frontend technologies and API integration.

Must have:

4+ years frontend development experience
React.js, React Native, TypeScript expertise
State management (e.g., Redux)
Modern frontend technologies (Next.js, Remix etc.)
RESTful API experience
Performance optimization & accessibility knowledge

Good to have:

PHP knowledge
Native mobile development (Swift, Java/Kotlin)
Experience shipping top-ranking mobile apps
Node.js and Express experience

We are developing next-generation web applications and supporting infrastructure that help customers in 60+ countries explore, interact with, and purchase Tesla vehicles and energy products.

Tesla is seeking a Senior Frontend / React Native Software Engineer to join our team in Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for building high-performance, scalable web and mobile experiences that enhance the ownership journey for Tesla customers. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and product teams to craft innovative, user-friendly applications that set new standards for digital experiences.

What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain high-quality web and mobile applications with a strong focus on frontend performance and user experience.
Build reusable components and scalable architectures using React.js, React Native, and TypeScript.
Optimize code for performance, accessibility, and maintainability across different platforms.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend engineers, and product managers, to create seamless digital experiences.
Stay up to date with the latest frontend and mobile development trends to ensure Tesla’s digital products remain cutting-edge.

What You’ll Bring

4+ years of experience in frontend development, building scalable web and/or mobile applications.
Strong expertise in React.js, React Native, and TypeScript.
Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Redux).
Proficiency in modern frontend technologies (e.g., Next.js, Remix, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or Webpack).
Familiarity with Node.js and Express for backend API integration.
Solid understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and UI/UX best practices.
Experience working with RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of PHP is a plus.
Knowledge of native mobile development (Objective-C, Swift, or Java/Kotlin) is a plus.
Experience creating, maintaining and shipping top-ranking mobile apps is preferred.
Experience using common design patterns. High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.
