The Role
As Optery’s Product Marketing Manager, you will own product marketing strategy, positioning, and enablement across both B2C and B2B product lines. You’ll craft compelling messaging for Optery Personal, Optery for Family, Optery for Business, and the Optery API; create customer‑facing assets; and arm sales, support, and growth teams with the tools they need to win. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll translate complex product capabilities into clear value stories that drive adoption, retention, and expansion.
Optery is profitable with $XXM ARR and growing rapidly. Our products have already won significant accolades in the personal data removal, consumer data privacy, and cybersecurity industries, and we need your help taking our product marketing capability to the next level. Key Responsibilities
- Go‑to‑Market Planning: Define launch roadmaps for new features and products across B2C and B2B, coordinating cross‑functional teams (Product, Design, Growth, Sales, Support).
- Messaging & Positioning: Develop and maintain differentiated value propositions, messaging frameworks, and competitive battle cards for all product lines.
- Explainer Videos & Sales Collateral: Script, storyboard, and oversee the production of short‑form videos, slide decks, one‑pagers, and case studies that resonate with consumers and enterprise buyers.
- Help Desk & Knowledge Base: Create and continuously update Help Center articles, FAQs, in‑app tooltips, and training materials to reduce support tickets and accelerate user onboarding.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor offerings; produce regular reports and “win/loss” analyses to inform product and sales strategies.
- Sales & Support Enablement: Deliver training sessions, playbooks, and objection‑handling guides; partner with Sales Ops to integrate product marketing assets into the CRM.
- Customer Insights: Conduct interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather feedback; surface key insights to Product and Growth teams to inform roadmap prioritization.
- Performance Tracking: Define and track KPIs (e.g., MQL → SQL conversion, feature adoption, content engagement); build dashboards to measure the impact of product marketing initiatives.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Serve as the internal champion for product launches—aligning Product, Engineering, Design, Growth, Sales, and Support around messaging, timing, and success metrics.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years in product marketing at B2C or B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, consumer‑tech, or privacy/security companies.
- Demonstrated success launching and positioning both consumer‑facing and enterprise products.
- Strong storytelling skills: ability to distill technical features into clear benefits for diverse audiences.
- Hands‑on experience producing explainer videos, sales decks, and customer enablement materials.
- Proven track record creating and maintaining knowledge‑base content that reduces support load.
- Analytical mindset: comfortable with A/B tests on messaging, content performance metrics, and competitive analyses.
- Familiarity with marketing and sales tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Gainsight, Zendesk, or similar).
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills; adept at leading cross‑functional teams; comfortable presenting to executives and mentoring teams; bias for action and pragmatism.
- Self‑starter with a bias for action, strong project‑management skills, and attention to detail.
- Track record of professional success and achievement
- Passion for consumer data privacy, security, and delivering exceptional user experiences.
Location
While Optery is a fully-remote global team, this position is based in the United States and is required to work regular U.S. business hours, i.e. in the U.S. Eastern, Central, Mountain, and/or Pacific time zones.
