Job Description

A Software QA Engineer is needed to test and validate web applications, ensuring user experience meets brand standards. You'll design and build automation test frameworks, contribute to existing build and test infrastructures, and participate in the implementation of test infrastructure for Continuous Deployment. You'll have 6+ years of experience in QA and automation, with a strong background in test automation frameworks (Playwright/Selenium) and integration into CI/CD pipelines.

Job Description

A Quality Assurance Software Engineer is responsible to test and validate before each web publication, ensuring the experience meets users needs and preserves the first-rate content standards of the brand. They efficiently plan and then execute tests for all net-new features delivered to the platform, and validate new and ongoing marketing content pages. They ensure that testing plans are comprehensive and include functional, requirement, design, device/browser compatibility, smoke, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing.

What You’ll Do

Design and build scalable, maintainable and flexible automation test framework

Contribute in automated test cases to existing build and test infrastructures, following good engineering practices, and evaluating product quality for various external and/or internal products

Participate in design and implementation of test infrastructure to support building and moving services into a Continuous Deployment environment

Assist in building out our automated testing infrastructure to build reliable, scalable, high-quality products and services

Design test strategies by analyzing and dissecting complex heavily integrated software systems.

Ensure the automation framework supports the testing needs of various projects

Develop detailed test cases and test plans based on requirements and specifications.

Experience You’ll Bring

TypeScript experience is a plus.

Perform manual testing when necessary to identify and reproduce defects.

eCommerce or Retail experience is preferred.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

6+ years of professional experience as QA and automation engineer.

Design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using (Playwright/Selenium)

Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing.

Identify, document, and track defects in a bug tracking system like Jira.

Experience in testing RESTful APIs and web services.

Experience working collaboratively with Agile or Kanban development teams or a related fields.

Experience in API load testing using tools like Postman, along with a strong background in working with cloud architectures and platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.

Experience with Services Oriented Architecture and RESTful Architecture, web services, microservices Architecture.

Travel Requirements

While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.
