Job Description

ByteDance's IaaS division is focused on building large-scale, highly available cloud infrastructure. This supports both public cloud products (like VolcEngine ECS service) and ByteDance's internal products. The IaaS-US team works on developing and researching ByteDance's Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform. Responsibilities include leading the design and prototyping of key technologies and products, researching and tracking industry trends, reviewing design and implementation to align with long-term vision and roadmap, and collaborating with partner teams for timely, high-quality project delivery.

Must have:

BS or above degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
3+ years leading software development projects
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure or AI infrastructure
Good communication, self-motivation, engineering practice, and teamwork
Familiarity with AI Infra, hardware & server platform technologies

Good to have:

Experience building large-scale infrastructure at AWS/Azure/GCP
Experience with research and publications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: -BS or above degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. -3+ years experience of leading software development projects. -Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure or AI infrastructure. -Good communication, self-motivation, engineering practice, and working collaboratively in cross-functional teams. -Familiar with the following areas: -AI Infra (training optimizations, Inference engines, collective communication libraries, etc.) -Hardware & server platform technologies (next-gen CPU, DPU, GPU, CXL, etc.) Preferred Qualification: -Experience of building large-scale infrastructure at leading companies such as AWS/Azure/GCP. -Experience with research and publications. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $212800 - $389500 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

Our time off and leave plans are: 10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 10 paid sick days per year as well as 12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability. ​
