Job Description

ByteDance is seeking a Tech Lead Manager to join their global e-commerce supply chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and managing the supply chain tech team in the US, developing international e-commerce supply chain technology, partnering with product and operations teams to provide efficient supply chain solutions, and managing the software development lifecycle. They will also be responsible for building team structure and morale, defining a long-term technical roadmap, and contributing to technical decisions on projects.
Must have:
  • Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of experience managing or tech-leading a software engineering team
  • 5+ years of experience working in large-scale system development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience of E-commerce supply chain, including fulfillment center, logistics, and/or supply chain technology

The supply chain is one of the core team of the global e-commerce business, who are responsible for the selection of goods, procurement, warehousing, inventory management and other business modules. Global e-commerce supply chain team aims to improve customer experience with warehouse & supply chain technology, empower the merchants to ease and expand their business worldwide with reliable and trustable fulfillment capabilities, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach. We are looking for a Tech Lead Manager to build the large scale distributed system for our global e-commerce supply chain team. Responsibilities: - Be responsible for building up and managing the supply chain tech team in the US. - Be responsible for developing international e-commerce supply chain technology, like WMS, TMS, fulfillment network, inventory forecasting & planning, etc. - Be responsible for partnering with product and operation team to provide efficient and optimal supply chain solutions for domestic/international e-commerce. - Be responsible for managing the software development lifecycle from technical design to project delivery and online maintenance. - Be responsible for building the team structure and team moral to help team members grow continuously. - Define a long term technical roadmap for the team and break down roadmap into projects. - Contribute to technical decisions on projects among the product.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. - 2+ years of experience managing or tech-leading a software engineering team. - 5+ years of experience working in large-scale system development and solid track of records. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Experience of E-commerce supply chain, including fulfillment center, logistics, and/or supply chain technology. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong business acumen and data sensitivity are a big plus. Job Information
【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $199500 - $340100 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

We cover 100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents and offer a Health Savings Account(HSA) with a company match. As well as Dental, Vision, Short/Long term Disability, Basic Life, Voluntary Life and AD&D insurance plans. In addition to Flexible Spending Account(FSA) Options like Health Care, Limited Purpose and Dependent Care.

Our time off and leave plans are: 10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 10 paid sick days per year as well as 12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability.
