IO Interactive is looking for a Tools Programmer to join their team in developing Project 007 and Project Fantasy. You will collaborate to design and upgrade the Glacier editor and tools, empower content creators, engage with users to understand production requirements and streamline workflows, customize and integrate tools to meet project needs, create user-friendly interfaces for efficient usage, integrate tools with version control systems, stay updated on latest technologies, ensure high quality through testing and security measures, and continuously improve tools based on feedback and project demands.
Must have:
  • Proficient in C# and C++
  • Strong code design skills
  • Familiarity with WPF or similar UI technologies
  • Capable of task breakdown and estimation
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science

IO Interactive is currently seeking a skilled, Intermediate or Senior Tools Programmer to join our backbone team as we embark on two exciting projects: Project 007 and Project Fantasy. Project 007 promises an original James Bond gaming experience, while Project Fantasy aims to revolutionize the online fantasy RPG genre for both console and PC gamers.

As we dive into these ambitious ventures, we need a talented individual to contribute to refining and enhancing our proprietary game development engine, Glacier, through the creation of robust tools.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate to design and upgrade the Glacier editor and tools, empowering content creators.
  • Engage with users to understand production requirements and streamline workflows.
  • Customize and integrate tools to meet project needs.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces for efficient usage.
  • Integrate tools with version control systems.
  • Stay updated on latest technologies.
  • Ensure high quality through testing and security measures.
  • Continuously improve tools based on feedback and project demands.

Who you are:

  • Proficient in C# and C++ with strong code design skills. Familiarity with WPF or similar UI technologies preferred.
  • Capable of task breakdown, estimation, and participating in task assessments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, adept at discerning user needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. Master's degree preferred.

About The Company

IO Interactive is a 25-year old, AAA independent game studio, creators of HITMAN, Kane & Lynch, Mini Ninjas and Freedom Fighters. We are currently working on Project 007, Project Fantasy, and continue to develop Glacier, our award-winning game engine.

IO Interactive was established in September 1998. The IO Interactive technology team consists of programmers, software engineers and mathematicians with considerable experience in game programming and 3D graphics.
