Job Description

The National Bank of Canada seeks a UX Writer (12-month contract, renewable) to craft simple, human, and bold content experiences. Responsibilities include simplifying complex financial concepts for business clients, understanding user journeys on digital platforms, collaborating with project leads on timelines, coordinating content production, analyzing results and providing optimization recommendations, ensuring adherence to editorial standards and brand voice, and implementing UX writing best practices and web accessibility standards. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Communications, Journalism, Marketing), 5-6 years of relevant digital writing experience, and excellent French and good English language skills. Experience with transactional websites and mobile apps, and knowledge of UX writing principles are crucial.

Notre équipe de rédaction UX est actuellement à la recherche d’une rédactrice ou d’un rédacteur spécialisé en expérience utilisateur et autres contenus courts (microcopy).

Notre mission éditoriale : donner l’envie à nos clients et non-clients commerciaux de réaliser leurs projets et contribuer à leur succès en leur offrant l’inspiration, les connaissances et les outils nécessaires pour prendre des décisions éclairées et passer à l’action.

Relavant du directeur, rédaction numérique, le rédacteur ou la rédactrice sera responsable du contenu pour nos services bancaires pour entreprises.

Votre quotidien

  • Simplifier l’expérience client et vulgariser les notions les plus complexes de littératie financière pour des clients entreprises ;
  • Comprendre les fonctionnalités de nos services bancaires et leur impact sur l’expérience et le parcours d’un utilisateur sur une plateforme numérique;
  • Soutenir les responsables des projets pour établir le processus et les échéanciers nécessaires à la livraison des contenus ;
  • Coordonner la production des contenus, assurer le respect des échéanciers et les suivis en lien avec la livraison des projets ;
  • Mesurer et analyser les résultats, tirer des constats et soumettre des recommandations d’optimisation ;
  • Veiller au respect des normes rédactionnelles et contribuer à faire vivre une tonalité de marque forte ;
  • Veiller à la mise en place et au respect des meilleures pratiques en termes de rédaction UX, de contenus courts et des normes d’accessibilité web.

    Vos réalisations et expériences antérieures

    • Baccalauréat complété en communication, journalisme, marketing ou autres domaines connexes et cinq (5) à six (6) années d’expérience pertinente en rédaction numérique ;
    • Expérience en développement d’applications et d’expériences numériques avec des équipes multidisciplinaires ;
    • Excellentes capacités rédactionnelles pour des produits numériques, notamment des sites web transactionnels ou applications mobiles ;
    • Expérience avec le parcours bout en bout d’un utilisateur sur une plateforme numérique;
    • Excellentes connaissances des principes directeurs et des meilleures pratiques en rédaction optimisée pour l’expérience utilisateur (UX) et l’accessibilité web ;
    • Intérêt pour les finances, l’économie et le milieu des affaires, un atout ;
    • Créativité, agilité et authenticité ;
    • Excellente maîtrise du français (écrit et oral) ET bonne maîtrise de l’anglais (écrit et oral).

      What You Will Do

      Our UX writing team is currently looking for a writer specializing in user experience and other short-form content (microcopy).

      Our editorial mission: To inspire both our clients and commercial non-clients to bring their projects to life and contribute to their success by providing them with the inspiration, knowledge, and tools they need to make informed decisions and take action.

      Reporting to the Director of Digital Content, the UX Writer will be responsible for content related to our business banking services.

      Your Day-to-Day

      • Simplify the customer experience and make complex financial literacy concepts accessible for business clients.
      • Understand the features of our banking services and their impact on the user experience and journey within a digital platform.
      • Support project leads in defining processes and timelines necessary for content delivery.
      • Coordinate content production, ensuring deadlines are met and follow-ups are conducted for project delivery.
      • Measure and analyze results, identify key insights, and provide optimization recommendations.
      • Ensure compliance with editorial standards and contribute to maintaining a strong brand voice.
      • Implement and uphold best practices in UX writing, short-form content, and web accessibility standards.

      Your Background and Experience

      • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, with five (5) to six (6) years of relevant experience in digital writing.
      • Experience in developing applications and digital experiences within multidisciplinary teams.
      • Strong writing skills for digital products, particularly transactional websites and mobile applications.
      • Experience with the end-to-end user journey on a digital platform.
      • In-depth knowledge of UX writing principles, best practices, and web accessibility standards.
      • Interest in finance, economics, and the business sector is a plus.
      • Creativity, agility, and authenticity.
      • Excellent command of French (written and spoken) and good proficiency in English (written and spoken).
