Job Description

The Account Executive, Mid-Market Sales at Google Customer Solutions focuses on driving customer success and growth within the Chinese market. Responsibilities include establishing partnerships with executives, optimizing advertising investments, managing client portfolios, and prioritizing excellent customer experience. The role requires managing multiple projects, understanding business growth drivers, and developing multi-quarter growth plans. Collaboration with internal teams (specialists, engineers, product teams) is crucial for generating plans and defining success metrics. Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential for client management. The ideal candidate will possess strong consultative sales skills, experience with Chinese enterprise clients, and a deep understanding of digital advertising.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years digital advertising/sales experience or 3 years with advanced degree
  • 4 years managing Chinese enterprise clients
  • Fluent Mandarin and English
  • Consultative sales expertise
  • C-level executive relationship building
Good to have:
  • Experience working with agencies or advertisers
  • Knowledge of online and traditional marketing
  • Skill in building compelling narratives
  • Ability to develop joint business plans

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of industry experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, business development, or digital marketing, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 4 years of experience in managing Chinese enterprise clients or customers.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to support the client management in this market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building trusted-advisor relationships with C-level executives and managing multiple projects, business leads, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients, and influencing C-level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics, and product knowledge across digital advertising products.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as an engagement strategy.
  • Ability to develop joint business plans in ambiguous environments, influence or collaborate across organizations, and drive business success for the customer.
  • Ability to strategically assess and solve customer needs via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged selling.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a partnership with executives and serve as a trusted consultant to optimize and expand their advertising investment.
  • Manage a group of businesses by understanding what promotes, grows, and identifies opportunities for growth, managing risks, and creating multi-quarter plans for growth.
  • Prioritize and deliver an excellent customer experience to Google's advertisers.
  • Coach teammates in the organization to expand skills that cultivate customers growth and contribute to overall team success.
  • Generate plans by collaborating with specialists, engineers and product teams, and define business goals, strategies, and metrics for success.
