Job Description

This Account Manager role at Google focuses on growing advertising business across channels within the Alpine market (requires fluency in English and German). Responsibilities include developing data-driven recommendations aligned with client objectives, collaborating with clients and agencies to expand relationships and optimize advertising, partnering with internal teams (gTech, IGT, Product Specialists), achieving goals while prioritizing excellent customer service, and analyzing data trends to develop strategic growth plans. The ideal candidate possesses experience in advertising, consultative sales, or marketing, along with strong analytical and communication skills. They will work with Google's key clients to set advertising strategies and vision, reaching thousands of users and leveraging Google's diverse product offerings.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Consultative sales & account management skills
  • Data analysis & strategic planning abilities
Good to have:
  • Experience with German advertising landscape or Finance clients
  • Experience with Google Performance and Branding solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in consultative sales and account management.
  • Experience with German advertising landscape or Finance clients.
  • Experience with Google Performance and Branding solutions (e.g., Search, Video, Display).
  • Ability to think strategically and develop recommendations and action plans.
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.

We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Grow advertising cross-channel business through clear, data-driven point of views (POVs) and recommendations that align with Customer Business Objectives.
  • Collaborate and consult with customers and agencies with the goal of extending relationships, growing the customer and optimizing advertising.
  • Partner with account team members and a diverse set of cross-functional partners (e.g., gTech, International Growth Team (IGT), Product Specialists) to drive business opportunities that build long term growth.
  • Work towards goals while prioritizing and delivering an excellent experience to Google's customers.
  • Analyze data trends and consumer insights to develop strategic plans and prepare compelling narratives to drive growth.
