As an Account Manager, you'll build and manage client relationships in Japan, acting as a consultant and advocate within Google. You'll grow existing business, secure new clients, and support your team with market knowledge. Responsibilities include understanding client challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics; optimizing Google Ads; collaborating with internal and external specialists; providing excellent customer service; and leveraging Google's evolving advertiser products. This role requires fluency in English and Japanese, 3+ years of experience in digital marketing or a related field, and strong analytical and communication skills. You'll work closely with large advertisers, developing digital strategies to build brands and achieve business growth.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years digital marketing experience
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
  • Client relationship management
  • Google Ads optimization
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
Good to have:
  • Online ad sales experience
  • Business development experience
  • Marketing or consulting sales experience
  • Experience in a growing environment

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in a digital marketing role or a similar role within the advertising industry or client side
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in online ad sales, business-development, marketing, or consulting sales
  • Ability to deliver results and client services in a growing environment
  • Ability to quickly complete a large volume of work
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and teamwork skills

As an Account Manager, you will develop and manage relationships directly with clients in Japan. You will be an advisor and consultant, as well as an advocate for clients within Google. You will grow the existing business, develop and win new business with clients, and support your team with account and market knowledge and other collateral.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, and develop an understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Be a trusted business partner for client marketing solutions, and optimize Google ads in order to maximize results for advertisers.
  • Work closely with internal and external product specialists.
  • Provide excellent customer service to Google's advertisers, identify, and solve client problems proactively and creatively.
  • Learn and work with Google's ongoing development of advertiser products to optimize client campaign results.
