Job Description

Tesla is seeking an Account Manager for its Residential Energy division in Bangkok, Thailand. This role involves managing and developing relationships with new and existing customer accounts, including PV installers, energy retailers, and network operators. Responsibilities include building relationships, conveying product roadmaps, identifying new business opportunities, achieving sales targets, expanding sales channels, providing product feedback, conducting market analysis, delivering training sessions, and contributing to sales and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience), 4+ years of relevant experience, fluency in Thai and English, and strong sales/business development skills. Experience in grid/utility markets, residential service markets, energy storage, and techno-economic modeling is highly valued.

What to Expect

Be a key member of a cross functional business team with a particular focus on maintaining and further developing business with new and existing customer accounts.  This is a multi-faceted role where strong product and market knowledge is expected. What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain highly productive partner accounts (e.g. PV installers, energy retailers, and network operators)

• Build and maintain relationships across the organization of partner accounts

• Convey Tesla product roadmap and prepare partners for integration

• Anticipate new business opportunities with accounts and identify suitable product offerings to satisfy customer requirements

• Be responsible for achieving volume sales within assigned channel(s)

• Expand sales channels by identifying new partners and supporting contract negotiation

• Provide product feedback to technical team regarding fit and applicability of product design and offering Maintain an understanding of market dynamics across relevant sectors (e.g. utility, commercial & industrial, residential, etc.) and drivers (e.g. policy/regulatory, techno-economics, etc.

• Identify training needs, develop training material, organize and deliver technical training sessions for the network of installation partners

• Contribute input regarding Tesla's product and sales strategy for the region

• Contribute to techno-economic analysis to assess market opportunities

• Provide high fidelity sales forecasts to business and manufacturing teams

• Provide key market insights to the broader business team

• Provide input on the development of marketing/sales material


What You’ll Bring

• BA/BS or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability

• 4 years minimum relevant work experience

• Working knowledge of grid/utility markets, residential service markets, and/or commercial/industrial infrastructure markets, energy storage applications and/or other grid-tied technologies (PV, wind, EE, DR)

• Professional fluency in Thai and English required; proficiency in other regional languages a plus

• Demonstrated performance of sales/business development in a related field

• Experience launching new businesses/products

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast moving environment

• Demonstrated techno-economic/financial modelling skills, both rapid and comprehensive

• Experience digesting and translating technical requirements and policy/regulatory. information for commercial applicability

• Deep passion for changing the way we use energy on the electric grid
