Job Description

As an Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions, you'll consult with advertising companies to find optimal advertising solutions. You'll build relationships through phone consultations and pitches, managing a large client portfolio. The role demands exceeding ambitious business goals, driving customer growth, and delivering outstanding sales experiences. Responsibilities include understanding client growth drivers, identifying opportunities, managing risks, and creating quarterly plans. You'll uncover key client needs and drive incremental business agreements through Google's advertising solutions. This fast-paced environment requires multitasking, detailed attention, and the ability to influence stakeholders. Fluency in English and Italian is crucial for client management in the designated region.
Must have:
  • 5+ years sales/account management experience
  • Fluent in English and Italian

  • Google Ads and online advertising familiarity
  • Overachieve quotas, drive growth
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
Good to have:
  • Google Digital Workshop Certification
  • Experience in Italian advertising sales
  • Portfolio management experience

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, account management, marketing, or a consulting role.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Italian fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Google Digital Workshop.
  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and promoting.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads and online advertising.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Italy, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.

Consulting with a wide variety of existing advertising companies of all sizes, you are committed to finding the optimal advertising solution for each client. Your interest in sales and the digital economy and your entrepreneurial drive enables brands to expand their businesses with Google's latest advertising products and solutions. Your understanding of online media combined with your commercial know-how shape how new and existing businesses grow. Using your effective communication skills, you are the face of Google to a portfolio of clients whose needs you listen to, and help define the strategy for how their products and services can reach thousands or millions of users.

In this role, you will build relationships by conducting phone consultations and business pitches with a large portfolio of clients. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, reaching for ambitious business and productivity goals. You will provide a solution promoting partnership management and analysis to deliver successful business outcomes. You will uncover the business needs of Google's key clients while driving incremental business agreements through our advertising solutions.

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objections.
