Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions will work with businesses to develop and implement effective advertising strategies using Google Ads. Responsibilities include delivering against ambitious growth targets, building client relationships, conducting sales consultations, managing a portfolio of small businesses, and driving customer growth by providing exceptional sales experiences. This role requires fluency in Portuguese and English to support client relationship management in the specified region. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas. The role involves understanding client needs, developing tailored advertising strategies, and utilizing Google's product offerings to achieve business growth objectives. The candidate will be responsible for setting the vision and strategy for client advertising to reach a vast audience.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years experience in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
  • Achieve ambitious growth targets
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Manage client portfolio effectively
Good to have:
  • Google Ads knowledge and certification
  • Experience in Portuguese advertising sales
  • Storytelling and narrative skills
  • Stakeholder influence skills
  • Excellent multitasking and attention to detail

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to communicate in Portuguese and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Google Ads and online advertising, with Google Digital Workshop certification or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Portugal, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to details.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth targets.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, manage risks and build quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience, and achieve customer business and marketing objectives.
