Job Description

As an API and Integration Sales Specialist III at Google Cloud, you will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with new and existing customers to grow the API and Integration business. This role involves working closely with customers to demonstrate product functionality, identify key business use cases, and deliver true business value. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, leading with empathy and identifying innovative ways to drive value for Google Cloud. Responsibilities include managing business cycles, identifying solution use cases, influencing long-term strategic account direction, meeting quotas, developing go-to-market strategies, and working with Google accounts and cross-functional teams to drive pipeline growth and close agreements. You will need to understand customer technology footprints, growth plans, and business drivers to help them transform their businesses using Google Cloud technologies.
Must have:
  • 10+ years sales experience in enterprise software or cloud
  • Experience selling SaaS, API management, or similar solutions
  • Meet/exceed quotas and achieve strategic growth goals
  • Build customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Good to have:
  • Experience exceeding strategic business goals
  • Experience supporting long-term executive relationships
  • Knowledge of Cloud and API Management (APIM), API Security, API Integration market trends
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, communication skills

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Experience selling Software as a Service (SaaS), API management, middleware, application integration, mobile applications, or similar technology solutions to clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience carrying and exceeding strategic business goals in a sales role.
  • Experience learning new products and solutions and identifying how they can provide value to a prospective customer.
  • Experience supporting long-term executive relationships, and developing territories/accounts from scratch, while ensuring customer success, adoption and expansion.
  • Experience prioritizing, planning, and organizing solution-based sales activity within complex business cycles, including qualifying high value accounts and leveraging our partner ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of market trends and expertise in products, and solutions in Cloud and API Management (APIM), API Security, and API Integration.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and active listening skills.

You will lead day-to-day relationships with cross-functional team members and external customer stakeholders, leading with empathy, while identifying innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team as a whole to drive overall value for Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, managing business cycles, identifying solution use cases, and influencing long-term strategic direction of accounts.
  • Deliver against quota and achieve or exceed strategic business and growth goals while forecasting and reporting the territory’s business.
  • Work with Google accounts and cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Developing, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Developers, Channels) to develop go-to-market strategies, drive pipeline and business growth, close agreements, understand the customer, and provide excellent prospect and customer experience.
  • Construct and execute an effective territory development plan.
  • Work with multiple customers and opportunities simultaneously, understanding each customer’s technology footprint and strategy, growth plans, business drivers, competitors, and how they can transform their business using our technologies.
