Job Description
The API Test Engineer will design, develop, and execute API test cases based on business and technical requirements. The role involves performing functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, REST-assured, Karate, or JMeter. Responsibilities include automating API test cases, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, validating API responses, and collaborating with various teams to ensure test coverage and quality. The engineer will also be responsible for logging and tracking defects and preparing test reports.
Must have:
- Design and execute API test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration and performance testing of APIs.
- Use tools like Postman, SoapUI, REST-assured, Karate, or JMeter.
- Automate API test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate API responses for accuracy and performance.
- Collaborate with developers and other teams.
- Log and track defects using tools like JIRA or ALM.
- Prepare test reports and provide feedback.
