Job Description

Tesla Body Repair seeks a driven Body Repair Production Supervisor in Dartford, UK. Responsibilities include managing workflow, production workforce, and ensuring high-quality repairs at the Tesla-owned Body Repair Center. The Supervisor will lead a team, optimize production plans, manage resources, provide coaching and feedback to technicians, conduct performance discussions, and participate in recruitment. A strong understanding of body repair processes, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. The role requires effective communication, leadership, and the ability to inspire a team to achieve business targets.

Must have:

1-3 years workshop management experience in Body Repair
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to optimize production and manage resources
Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and estimates
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Tesla Body Repair is seeking a highly driven professional with a proven record of managing people and processes to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. As the Supervisor you will be responsible for managing the workflow and production work force at our Tesla-owned and operated Body Repair Center. This position requires a strong understanding of Body Repair business processes and operations, as well as the willingness to adapt to and excel in a dynamic business environment. You must be a strong tactical problem solver who can work in a fast-paced environment, capable of multi-tasking, and effectively leading a team to achieve business goals and objectives.

What You’ll Do

Work closely with the Body Repair Center Management in daily operations to deliver excellent results in all aspects of customer, people, operations, and financials
Provide inspiring leadership to the workshop team, and keep them informed and motivated
Ensure application of the highest quality repair standards
Develop and maintain production plans to optimise the throughput of the workshop and ensure the timely return of customer vehicles
Manage daily resource scheduling and task allocation to maximise efficiency
Provide regular coaching and feedback to technicians and possess a thorough understanding of their strengths and development needs; coordinating with Training as required to close capability gaps.
Conduct regular 121 performance discussions with team members in line with Tesla’s required standards
Conduct technician recruitment and selection activity and otherwise support the growth and development of the site
Perform other related duties as assigned by Body Repair Center Manager and Production Manager

What You’ll Bring

1-3 years of experience in workshop management within the Body Repair industry
Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire a team to achieve business targets
Ability to organise complex team operations and optimise production plans ‘on the fly’
Capable of working under own initiative in limited supervision environments
Solid comprehension of automotive repair procedures and estimates
Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in vehicle body repair
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
