Role Overview

We’re seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Marketing Officer to lead and shape the future of our marketing efforts. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will be responsible for developing and executing a forward-thinking marketing strategy that drives brand visibility, demand generation, and customer engagement. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you will build a world-class marketing team and take ownership of all marketing initiatives, from brand management to market expansion. Your leadership will be pivotal in elevating GlobalStep’s global presence and contributing to our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities


Own Overall Brand Management

  • Drive awareness and enhance our brand value with both new and existing customers.
  • Guide the creation and delivery of compelling messaging and content to communicate GlobalStep’s unique value proposition, including identifying ideal customer profiles (ICP) and key market stakeholders.
  • Serve as the face and evangelist of the brand, persuading and engaging with influencer audiences and industry leaders.

Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy

  • Create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that includes budget management, team development, and agency collaboration.
  • Lead the marketing function with a focus on brand positioning, customer journey mapping, and go-to-market (GTM) execution.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and collaboration with sales, product, IT, and executive leadership to drive results.

Build Comprehensive Demand Generation

  • Lead and grow a demand generation team focused on multiple channels, including product marketing, content marketing, digital and social media, brand awareness, ABM, and events.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for launching new services and expanding market share, leveraging both inbound and outbound marketing approaches.

Customer-Centric Campaigns

  • Design and implement campaigns tailored to key global players like Sony, Microsoft, and EA.

Establish Marketing KPIs & Maximize ROMI

  • Define and manage quarterly and annual KPIs for all marketing initiatives, ensuring that marketing spend is optimized for maximum return.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions, optimize campaigns, and report results to the executive team.

Lead Martech Strategy

  • Collaborate with IT to select, implement, and manage the marketing technology (martech) stack, including AI/machine learning automation, ABM platforms, and intent data tools.
  • Oversee CRM and marketing automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with sales tools.

Drive Market Research and Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct market research to gain deep insights into customer behavior, industry dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation and growth and provide actionable insights to the executive team on trends, challenges, and market opportunities.

Leadership & Team Building

  • Grow and lead a high-impact global marketing team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional development.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business-to-business marketing experience, with at least 7 years in enterprise technology services or related industries.
  • Proven track record in building and leading a world-class marketing function, including talent development, budget oversight, and driving measurable demand generation results.
  • Familiarity with brand fundamentals (architecture, identity, and competitive positioning) of global brands.
  • Strong familiarity with modern martech tools, CRM lead management, digital platforms, and multichannel marketing strategies.
  • Deep understanding of marketing metrics, including experience with forecasting, media mix modeling, and multichannel attribution.
  • Exceptional cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, IT, product, and executive leadership teams.
  • Superior written and verbal communication, including experience creating compelling presentations for senior leaders.
  • Adaptability and the ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA preferred.
