About the Job

CatFace is looking for a talented and driven Minecraft Cinematographer to join the Showrunner team in the creation of engaging in game content. This person will have a strong background in Pixel Cam and Aperture and a willingness to train coworkers while continuing to work on projects.

What You'll Do

• Work with cutscenes and provide a shot list from the script provided
• Film and edit cutscenes and some videos, directing a group of body actors and seeing the intro through from start to finish
• Film and edit as needed, creating camera profiles creating role play style videos 
• Assist with collecting assets, sets, and post production needed information for the Showrunners as needed
• Assist with troubleshooting issues in Minecraft 
• Learn the techniques used for Cutscene Cinematography and utilize them in videos
• Helping with stats and tracking
• Assist with research for future videos in Minecraft
• Train team with skill gaps in filming software
• Assist departments with any other tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• What We're Looking For
  • Must have 2-3 years' experience in Cinematography and knowledge in terms and techniques of camera usage.
  • 2 years of in-depth knowledge and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
  • 2 years of experience in PixelCam 
  • 2 years of experience in Aperture
  • Extensive knowledge of game engines like Minecraft
  • Knowledge of the YouTube platform and the ability to analyze upcoming trends in editing styles. Constantly looking to improve the quality of videos using new styles.
  • Ability to work both independently and with small teams
  • Ability to coach team members through skill gaps with filming software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment and shift gears at a moment's notice.
  • Great and timely communication skills
  • Must be based in the Austin TX area or willing to relocate within 2 weeks of being hired
