Job Details

Kepler Interactive is a collective of creatives working together to bring bold, beautiful ideas and experiences to life. We believe in empowering creativity, championing diverse voices, and shaping what’s next in interactive entertainment. To hear more about who we are, check out our CEO Alexis’ recent article in GI.Biz.

Creativity is at the core of everything we do, it’s the backbone of how we work. We back artistic vision, push boundaries, and believe in doing things differently.

There is space for everyone to have a voice at Kepler, and we expect you to as well. Diversity in thought is where creativity flourishes, and we encourage different people to contribute to conversations they might not normally be. You’ll need to be comfortable operating outside your comfort zone, challenging others and being challenged, as this is where growth really happens.

Our Values

  • Experimentation: We challenge the norm, stay curious, and move with confidence into the unknown.
  • Kindness: We believe how we treat people matters. We empower and uplift with clarity and honesty.
  • Excellence: We aim high. We think creatively, embrace feedback, and celebrate both wins and lessons learnt along the way.

Overview

We are now looking for a Community and Social Media Manager to work across the various brands of our portfolio, both games and otherwise, including the Kepler brand itself. You don’t need to come from gaming, but you do need to understand it. Anyone can engage an audience with an amazing product, we’re interested in the person who can take something overlooked and turn it into something people care about. Kepler works very hard to curate a portfolio of great games, we need someone to engage a game’s future fans, building an audience by meeting them where they are.

What you’ll do:

  • Draw upon the unique vision of each of our brands to shape and execute bespoke social media strategies across key platforms
  • Craft and embody multiple tones of voice that are fit for each title you're assigned to and embrace them across multiple channels.
  • Create content that is interesting for our audiences. Where appropriate current or trend based, but always authentic.
  • Be methodical and forward thinking; we obviously want someone who is reactive and participates in conversation, but we’re really looking for someone who is eager to plan and strategize, creating solid content structures, calendars and reports. .
  • Nurture existing communities and build new ones from the ground up, interacting and communicating vital information to the fans who are engaged the most, acting as a conduit between them and the creators of our games.
  • Pitch new and convincing ideas that get full buy in from studios and key decision makers both internally and with the various studios we work with and for.
  • Capture and create assets, from spontaneous memes to stylised visuals, from short punchy videos to longer-form content.

Who you are:

  • You’ve got a portfolio of work from managing socials for a range of products and brands, not just the shiny things, proving instances where you have resonated with an audience. You know how to find the hook, the voice, the fun.
  • You’re thoughtful when working with others and collaborators, with the ability to influence while staying open to others' ideas.
  • You seek influences from everywhere and anywhere, not just relying on those commonly seen within gaming.
  • You’re a creator and a coordinator. Ideally, you’re comfortable making things with Adobe Suite, Canva, CapCut, Premiere, or whatever helps you deliver. And if you’re not, you’re happy to learn.
  • You know your platforms, what works where, why it works, and how communities evolve.
  • You’re naturally curious about gaming, understand the culture, and are eager to dive in.
  • You’re autonomous, agile, and always up for experimenting. You seek feedback from others and you’re happy taking it too.

What can you expect during the Interview Process:

Introduction: You’ll meet with Kate, People and Talent Director, for an initial intro call. This is the space to get to know each other better and get answers to any questions you have.

Stage 1: The first interview will be an exploration of your skills and working style with Jack Kennedy, Senior PR & Communications Manager, and Simon Sweeney, Head of Creative. Here you’ll learn more about the role, how we work and what is most important to us from this role.  We will ask you to be ready to discuss and present case studies based on your own experiences on a portfolio of brands that you have worked on, where your work has demonstrated both your capacity to develop and nurture a community while finding the tone of voice that allowed you to stand out from the crowd and resonate with the right audiences.

Stage 2: For your final interview you’ll meet with two people from Kepler who do not sit within the direct team, where we’ll talk more about our values, whilst giving you a chance to see Kepler through a different lens.

Please be aware that there may be some slight changes to the interview teams and order of interviews depending on availability; we will give you full details with ample time ahead of each conversation.

We want to set you up for success and make our recruitment process as accessible as possible for you. In your application, feel free to let us know if you need anything to make your experience or environment more comfortable. We'll do our best to support you!

Don't meet all the requirements?

We care more about outcomes than ticking boxes, and we know the perfect person for the role often has a CV that's a little different.

Research shows that women are particularly less likely to apply if they don't meet all the criteria in a job listing. If you're second guessing yourself, we encourage you to get in touch anyway.

Don't quit before you've started!
