Job Description

As an Engine Graphics Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting advanced graphical systems for the in-house engine (Clausewitz) to bring games to life. You will collaborate with engine designers, game programmers, and artists to optimize workflows and ensure high-quality visuals. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing graphical features, shaders, and rendering backends, working closely with designers, technical leads, game developers, and artists to align engine functionality towards visual goals, and ensuring systems meet performance requirements and run efficiently.
Must have:
  • 5+ Years of C++ Game Programming Experience
  • Experience developing on Windows (Visual Studio)
  • Expertise in 3D Graphics & GPU Tech
  • Experience with proprietary game engines
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues
  • Comfortable working with multithreaded environments
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Engine Graphics Programmer

What You’ll Do...

As an Engine Graphics Programmer, you will be designing, implementing, and supporting advanced graphical systems for our in-house engine (Clausewitz) that bring our games to life.

You’ll be collaborating with engine designers, game programmers, and artists, to optimize their workflows and ensure high-quality visuals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize graphical features, shaders, and rendering backends.

  • Work closely with designers, technical leads, game developers, and artists to align engine functionality towards visual goals.

  • Ensure systems meet performance requirements and run efficiently.



What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ Years of C++ Game Programming Experience.

  • Experience developing on Windows (Visual Studio).

  • Expertise in 3D Graphics & GPU Tech with strong knowledge of rendering pipelines, HLSL, and shaders.

  • Experience with proprietary game engines and rendering APIs like DirectX12 and Vulkan.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues.

  • Being comfortable working with multithreaded environments and different disciplines.

  • Service-oriented attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills

  • High level of spoken and written English to have the ability to discuss and break down complex technical concepts.

Founded in 2020, Paradox Tinto was established by a small and dedicated team of industry veterans led by Johan Andersson and Sonia Linares. Building on Paradox Development Studio’s experience, this team has been creating an awesome portfolio of content for Paradox Interactive’s flagship grand strategy IP, Europa Universalis, the game that started it all over twenty-five years ago!

The Team:

At Paradox Tinto we work in a small, gameplay focused team, where everyone is part of crafting the player experience and actively has an input on the design of the games we create. We believe that game development should be fun and strive for a relaxed, stress-free atmosphere. Being a small studio built from the ground up, we expect everyone to contribute to the development of the studio and its culture in a dynamic way.

The Location:

Our office is located in a Mediterranean coastal town called Sitges, Barcelona.

Sitges is barely 20 min away from El Prat, Barcelona’s International Airport, and not only has 17 different beaches around its own coastline (“Costa del Garraf”), but also offers an average of 300 days of sun a year. This warm and sunny weather is perfect to enjoy outdoor sports and leisure activities with your family and friends around the area; while altitude lovers still have a wide range of all-year round mountain activities in the Pyrenees, only 2h drive.

In addition, this historical town will captivate you with its open minded and international mindset, cultural events, creative and LGBTQI atmosphere topped up with delicious Mediterranean food and its excellent Spanish wine of course!
