Job Description

The Field Sales Account Manager II at Google Cloud is responsible for building executive relationships with enterprise customers, negotiating complex business deals, and leading account strategy for business growth. This role requires collaborating with Customer Engineers and Google Partners, understanding customer technology footprints and strategic plans, and driving business development to achieve strategic goals. Responsibilities include presenting to C-level executives, managing the entire sales cycle, and accurately forecasting revenue. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in technology sales, particularly with SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS products, and a proven ability to influence executive-level decisions. The role involves working within a rapidly growing business and contributing to the future of how businesses utilize technology to connect with customers, employees, and partners.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of technology sales experience (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
  • C-level engagement and executive relationship building
  • Complex business cycle negotiation and management
  • Account strategy leadership and business growth generation
  • Understanding customer technology landscapes and strategic goals
Good to have:
  • Large, complex commercial and legal negotiation experience
  • Experience with Google Cloud technologies in large organizations
  • Cross-organizational collaboration and relationship building
  • Executive-level influence and decision-making
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of sales experience in the technology industry with SaaS, PaaS or IaaS products and platforms.
  • Experience engaging with accounts, selling a portfolio of products at C-level.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with large, complex commercial and legal negotiations working with procurement, legal, and business teams.
  • Experience promoting Google Cloud computing technologies to large and complex organizations across geographies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
  • Ability to influence decisions at the executive level.
  • Ability to present analyses and break down technical concepts into simple terms to present to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build executive relationships with enterprise customers, bring to Google CxO relationships to help us grow into new organizations.
  • Negotiate and manage end-to-end complex business-cycles, often presenting to C-level executives in corporate customers.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Customer Engineers, and Google Partners.
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans and business drivers, technology strategy and external landscape.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
