Job Description

Financial Controller, Investments for Animoca Brands. Manage financial reporting and analysis, prepare financial statements, conduct variance analysis, collaborate with investment teams, implement internal controls, provide financial guidance, and stay current on industry trends. Must have experience in asset management, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of financial reporting and analysis for our investment companies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for each investment entity.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
Collaborate with investment teams to assess the financial health of portfolio companies, analyze investment performance, and support decision-making processes.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure data integrity, and mitigate financial risks within the investment portfolio.
Provide financial guidance and support to investment teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to optimize investment returns.
Stay current on web3 industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting the investment sector to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within the asset management industry
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and investment valuation methodologies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic insights.
Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting processes.
