Job Description

The Head of Marketing Operations oversees and optimizes the efficiency of all go-to-market (GTM) marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, budget adherence, and timely execution. Responsibilities encompass marketing materials, product marketing, industry events, creative asset development, content management, budget management, and invoice handling. This role requires centralizing design requests, managing event planning and execution, overseeing brand standards and content, managing awards and media relations, and leading social media communication. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (content writers, designers, GTM teams) and external vendors is crucial. Budget monitoring and financial reporting are also key responsibilities.

Job Details

The Head of Marketing Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the efficiency of all go-to-market segments marketing initiatives, ensuring all activities align with business goals and are executed within budget and on schedule. This includes responsibility of marketing materials, product marketing, industry events, creative asset development, content management, and the operational aspects of the marketing department, such as budget adherence and invoice handling.

Team Leadership & Graphic Design Request Management:

  • Centralise design needs and allocate resources to the design team for various marketing projects.
  • Monitor timeline and deadlines
  • Foster a collaborative environment where all teams work effectively toward common goals.

Event & Trade Show Management:

  • Plan, implement, and oversee industry events and trade shows taking place throughout the year, based on GTM needs, ensuring seamless execution of the strategy and goals, brand standards and company objectives.
  • Work on initiatives and activation, such as brand awareness activities and demos.
  • working with the comms team to ensure communication and branding during events, will meet the marketing strategy.

Brand Standards & Content Management:

  • Oversee the development and approval of all marketing assets, ensuring they meet brand standards.
  • Oversee the media pack, game sheets, and roadmaps for Wizard Games, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflect brand messaging.
  • Ensure all creative work, including event and trade show materials, is aligned with the brand guidelines.

Awards & Media Relations:

  • Oversee the awards calendar for the year. Collect relevant information and briefs from each Go-To-Market (GTM) team and collaborate with content writers to prepare and submit all applications.
  • Manage communication with media companies, collecting offerings and rates, and ensuring that the company’s media presence is optimized.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Oversee all graphic designer requests from each GTM team, ensuring the workload is spread effectively and efficiently across the team to meet deadlines.
  • Point of contact for the GTM teams, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.

Social Media & Communication:

  • Oversee social media communication efforts related to industry events and trade shows.
  • Ensure all content is promoted and communicated effectively through social media channels, aligning with the broader marketing strategy.

Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Work closely with content writers, designers, and GTM teams to ensure all materials and initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure smooth execution of all projects

Budget Management:

  • Maintain, and monitor the annual marketing budget across all activities.
  • Ensure that spending stays within budget by overseeing all invoices, tracking expenditures, and managing the approval and payment process.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
