The Industry Manager, Services and Marketplaces role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with high-level clients and partners. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive strategies, leading cross-functional teams, achieving growth goals through Google advertising product presentations, and providing data-driven analyses and recommendations aligned with client objectives. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, along with a deep understanding of online media and Google's advertising products. This role requires experience in managing executive-level relationships and promoting Google Ads or digital media ad products to clients and agencies.
Must have:
  • 8 years advertising/consultative sales exp. or 6 years with advanced degree
  • Experience with Google Ads or digital media ad products
  • Build and manage C-level client relationships
  • Develop long-term joint strategies with clients
  • Achieve growth goals through product presentations
  • Data-driven analysis and consultative recommendations
Good to have:
  • 6 years managing executive-level relationships
  • Experience in lead generation industry
  • Leadership experience

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in advertising or consultative sales, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in promoting Google Ads or digital media Ad products to clients and agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • 2 years of experience working in an organization.
  • Experience working with or in the lead generation industry.
  • Experience in a leadership role.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and executive partner stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their business issues, marketing objectives, and success metrics. 
  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross-functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success. 
  • Plan for, and achieve growth goals through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives. 
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations and present to customers.
  • Build knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
