This position is based at the Las Vegas Integration center at The Outback, within the D&D. This group is responsible for researching and implementing the use of advanced technology in manufacturing operations. This intern will have the opportunity to utilize design tools and work on electromechanical projects.
The internship lasts 10 weeks and will start early June and end in Mid-August. Candidates will be required to prepare and submit a project report at the end of the 10 weeks. The internship offers a flat per hour stipend capped at 40 hrs. per week and does not offer any other benefits or allowances. Candidates will be required to arrange their own housing and transport.
What you'll do
Engage in a 10-week fulltime onsite project based in Las Vegas
Gain an understanding of metal or plastic fabrication processes
Work on electromechanical projects and tasks • Use design tools to build parts in lab setting
Assist existing engineering staff in various engineering tasks using Solidworks and change management tasks
Learn to use general assembly tools and use best practices in putting EGMs together
Assemble Rigs for testing as needed
Understand usage of Bill of Materials, Team center and their importance in new product introduction
What We're Looking For
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Product Design or Engineering, entering a Junior or Senior Year
Must be 21 years of age by June 2, 2025
Must possess mechanical aptitude and knowledge of common manufacturing processes
General exposure to any Computer Aided Design (CAD) platform
Experience in Microsoft Office and other basic computer usage skills
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
