We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Set Dresser & Prop Maker to work on a Shaun the Sheep stop motion feature under the guidance and supervision of the senior Art team. You will be making props and set dressing under the supervision of the Supervising Set Dresser / Art Directors / Supervising Art Director. In this role, you will perform simple prop making to a specific brief and previously agreed schedule. You will assist the senior crew to adapt, fabricate and dress sets and learn to communicate with all key creative departments. You will be expected to illustrate the ability to manage and take responsibility of small projects, plus have understanding and ideally some experience of techniques like sculpting, casting, moulding, painting, texturing, greenery, model making and sewing.
Must have:
  • Creative with keen eye for color, texture, decoration, and detail
  • Enthusiastic with intuitive and creative problem-solving approach
  • Interest in learning animation/filmmaking processes
  • Ability to manage small projects
  • Experience in sculpting, casting, moulding, painting, texturing, greenery, model making, sewing

About The Role

Start Date: August / September 2025

Full Time: 40 hours per week

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (Initially 3 months in length with potential to extend until April 2026) 

Salary: Depending on experience

Location: Aztec West Studio

About You

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be creative with a keen eye for colour, texture, decoration and detail.

You will be enthusiastic with an intuitive and creative approach to problem solving, plus have an interest in learning about processes of animation / film making.
