The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the maintenance department's functions and programs, including the training and development of employees. Key responsibilities include assisting with hiring, orienting and training personnel, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and evaluating their performance. The supervisor develops and implements preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment operation, identifies and resolves problems, and coordinates maintenance activities with operational departments. They lead continuous improvement and safety initiatives, perform regular/preventative maintenance on machinery and buildings, and repair equipment according to specifications. The role also involves ordering supplies and parts, maintaining records, preparing reports, and adhering to safety procedures. This position is responsible for all maintenance for both the 496 and 514.
