We’re looking to hire a Senior Market Research Manager for a Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical client. Teams are very collaborative and have a passion for creating cutting edge customer experiences.
Our direct Fortune 500 client is a full service in-house creative agency looking for someone to join the Market Research team to lead market insights and analytics projects, translating findings into actionable recommendations that address critical business needs and objectives.
This is a 12 – month contract + possible extension and possible convert to permanent. The team is located in Boston, MA, and the role is fully remote. Onward Search provides benefits for 40 hour work week and weekly paychecks (W2) for duration of the contract.
Senior Market Research Manager Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders, providing market intelligence to support informed strategic and operational decision-making
- Independently manage the planning, implementation, and communication of Business Intelligence initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand strategies and plans.
- Oversee all aspects of Business Intelligence management, including RFP initiation, vendor selection, study design, contract execution, budget management, and the provision of clear direction on the scope of services for external resources.
- Independently lead all phases of project planning, encompassing coordination, timeline management, participant scheduling, the formulation of conclusions and recommendations, and the presentation of interim and final results.
- Furthermore, ensure consistent communication of project progress and initiatives to Brand Teams, Senior Management, and external vendors as required.
- Function as the primary Market Research point of contact for Pipeline Commercialization and Strategy (PCS MABI), supporting various botulinum toxin assets and establishing oneself as a trusted advisor to Brand Leadership.
- Provide guidance on brand strategy and counsel on key initiatives based on a comprehensive understanding of the business and market derived from primary market research, data analytics, and competitive intelligence.
- Demonstrate leadership within cross-functional business teams across pipeline indications, facilitating more effective and timely business decisions by framing and prioritizing critical brand questions.
- Provide insightful analysis of current and future market dynamics, proactively identifying and developing analytical solutions to foster data-driven and objective decision-making processes.
- Play a key leadership role in the ongoing brand planning process, leveraging a deep understanding of market drivers, the patient journey, competitive landscape, and product positioning to highlight opportunities for enhancing patient and HCP experiences and developing plans to address key leverage points and gaps.
- Ensure all PCS MABI activities are executed on schedule, within budgetary constraints, and in full compliance with relevant financial and ethical guidelines.
Senior Market Research Manager Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Market Research
- Requires a Bachelor's degree; a Master's or PhD is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical market research and analytics.
- Proficient in conducting quantitative, qualitative, and competitive intelligence. Solid experience with secondary research and analytics utilizing standard biotech data sources (e.g., epidemiology, treatment landscape, analyst reports, competitor analysis).
- Proven ability to develop visually impactful presentations and construct persuasive executive-level narratives from primary and secondary insights.
- Experience analyzing real-world claims data and using data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.
