Generating new business from existing and prospective buyside firms by building awareness of the value proposition of CME Group’s products & services
Identify and execute growth opportunities across all CME Group asset classes (interest rates, equities, FX, commodities) by promoting the exchange’s listed derivatives and cash product offerings to buyside firms
Managing existing client relationships, deepening engagement with key stake client stakeholders / decision makers to drive commercial outcomes
Participating in the development and effective execution of the regional Buyside sales strategy. Utilize CRM system to record and track sales activity and client engagement
Working closely with internal business functions: product / business line management, marketing & education, research, clearing and operations to promote and position CME Group’s products and services
Developing a solid understanding of all CME business lines to help facilitate cross product development and enhance cross selling opportunities with buyside firms
Promoting corporate membership opportunities to obtain new clients and grow volume through lower fee structures and incentives
Acting as key contact point with the relevant buyside associations to build deeper engagement with the buyside community, participating in relevant industry conferences and events.
Qualifications:
5+ years of sales and/or client facing experience within the front office of a financial services firm - either at an exchange operator, bank, broker, trading firm or technology vendor. Possessing pre-existing relevant client relationships within the buy side segment is an advantage
Possess a strong understanding of the Greater China / HK buy side client landscape/firm structure and a detailed understanding of Exchange Traded Futures and Options, including one or more areas of Equity, Interest rate, FX, Energy, Agriculture and Metals as well as OTC Cleared Financial products
Possessing pre-existing client relationships with Greater China buyside clients would be a strong advantage
Proven ability to build a sales pipeline and convert leads into revenue opportunities
Analytical mindset - ability to analyze information, identify problems and trends, and solve complex problems
Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg, Tableau and SQL databases
Self-starter with commercial acumen and a collaborative mindset. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Strong interpersonal / communication / presentation skills
Experience in electronic trading in traditional markets is a plus
Degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another analytic discipline preferred
Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred
