Job Description

This role focuses on the quality relationship within external Off-Wing Aftermarket Operations. Key responsibilities include supporting the Quality and Safety Strategy, developing quality capabilities, deploying performance metrics, understanding regulations, providing assurance, driving change in the Operating System, managing problem containment and resolution, and driving supplier performance using the Integrated Supplier Scorecard (ISS). The role aims to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance the company's reputation in the aviation industry. The job involves understanding relevant laws/regulations, customer requirements to support the Aftermarket strategy, support definition and implementation of compliance strategy, drive change to the Operating System and SABRe to mitigate risks, maximize effectiveness and eliminate cost/waste. The job holder should perform, manage and coach problem containment and resolution, to minimise impact and to ensure the necessary corrective and preventative actions are completed and verified in a timely manner.
Must have:
  • Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence and challenge appropriately at all levels.
  • Has led projects/activities across a range of Quality processes.
  • Competent in improvement and problem solving methodologies, eg; Six Sigma & 8D.
Good to have:
  • Experience within MRO would be desirable and Part 145 knowledge.
  • Engine Product knowledge would be an advantage.

This role is responsible for the quality relationship within external Off-Wing Aftermarket Operations including:

·       Support and lead the deployment of the Quality and Safety Strategy for the aligned region within the business area to achieve its goals, enhance its reputation and deliver customer satisfaction.

·       Support the development and deployment of Quality capability (skills & Knowledge) and culture of the aligned business to meet future regulatory, customer requirements.

·       Deploy metrics, key performance indicators to ensure appropriate governance and support is in place within the business to drive Quality performance to meet the requirements, business goals and enhance its reputation.

·       To understand relevant law/regulation, customer requirements to support the Aftermarket strategy, support definition and implementation of compliance strategy into the Operating System (including process, culture & leadership, governance & risk) and SABRe.

·       In support of the Assurance plan and in partnership with risk owners, provide proactive assurance that regulatory, business and customer requirements will be met.

·       To drive change to the Operating System (process, culture & leadership governance and risk) and SABRe to mitigate risks, maximise effectiveness and eliminate cost/waste through insight obtained from proactive assurance and problem themes.

·       Protect the business and customer through performing, managing and coaching of problem containment and resolution, to minimise impact and to ensure the necessary corrective and preventative actions are completed and verified in a timely manner.

·       Drive Supplier performance using a Zero Defects culture, through use of the Integrated Supplier Scorecard (ISS), conducting Supplier Maturity Assessments (SMA) and utilising Supplier Engagement Plans (SEP) to improve / manage gaps. Gather intelligence and provide analysis of MRO shops' Quality, Safety Management and HSE performance to understand risk and provide an objective basis for taking remedial and improvement actions.

Requirement:

·       Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent industry experience.

·       Experience within MRO would be desirable and Part 145 knowledge.
