Microsoft Advertising seeks a Partner & Sales Account Manager to drive revenue with programmatic partners in the UK. This role involves developing and cultivating strategic relationships, aligning solutions to partner strengths, managing supply-side publisher partnerships, and increasing spend/revenue. Responsibilities include developing forward-looking integration strategies, managing the partner lifecycle, navigating complex technical issues, and collaborating internally across teams (engineering, content services, marketing, sales) to drive awareness and product development. The successful candidate will reconcile partner data, track KPIs, create promotions, manage client engagement, forecast products/accounts, create account plans, propose joint business plans, collaborate with internal teams, and manage escalations.

Overview

Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers the largest advertisers and publishers around the world to reach their maximum potential through digital advertising solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platform. We are seeking a Partner Account Executive with digital advertising experience who can drive revenue with programmatic partners by developing and cultivating strategic partner relationships and aligning solutions to the partner’s advertising technology strengths. This individual work with publishers in the United Kingdom will play a key role in managing supply-side partnerships on behalf of Microsoft Advertising. This individual will play a key role within our Northern European team and will focus on managing supply-side publisher partnerships within the United Kingdom. Other markets may be required at a later date. Responsibilities include developing forward-looking strategies for integrations, driving the end-to-end lifecycle of partner management to increase spend/revenue, cultivating client relationships navigating complex technical problems, and partnering internally across engineering, content technical services, marketing and sales leadership to drive awareness and product development prioritization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND experience in partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
    • OR experience in partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry.
  • Experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.

Responsibilities

Reconciles partner reporting data, tracks key performance indicators (KPIs), and drives actionable outcomes from customer feedback surveys. Creates, negotiates and executes special sell-through promotions, and ensures that proof of execution and claims are provided in compliance with guidelines. Responds to feedback from audits and solves past financial reconciliation.

  • Owns revenue and client engagement for a portfolio of strategic clients. Develops deep understanding of their business and the products that they utilize. Forecasts managed products and/or partner accounts to examine account trends, monitor progress, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Creates, manages and executes account plans to ensure Microsoft and partner sales goals are on target. Coordinates with internal key stakeholders on plan execution. Holds self and partner accountable for executing on plans.
  • Proposes joint business plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders to generate revenue for the partner and Microsoft. Develops short- and long-term goals and performance expectations based on partner capabilities. Supports the adoption of plans by evaluating the alignment, plan, and partners' short- and long-term goals and priorities.
  • Collaborates with internal teams (e.g., product, technical support, engineering) to support partners. Shares overall business plans with relevant stakeholders. Influences and drives actions with internal teams.
  • Co-ordinates with internal teams – finance, billing, customer support and legal to ensure queries are answered in a timely manner and all necessary contracts and obligations are met.
  • Work with senior leaders to manage escalations, drive solutions and communicate outcomes with clients.
