The Pipeline Technical Assistant’s primary responsibility is to sustain continued pipeline support to the different teams throughout production to ensure that productions run smoothly and efficiently. The Pipeline TA assists the Pipeline team to implement and maintain tools and systems.
About the role:
- Triage incoming support requests and gather information needed for the support team from the relevant parties;
- Communicate with artists and production in support channels;
- Provide technical support to different Flying Bark departments;
- Assist with documentation of department tools and pipeline procedures;
- Maintenance of tools, procedures and interfaces in the internal Flying Bark pipeline;
- Assist in the maintenance of studio wide pipeline solutions;
- Action support issues or forward them on to the appropriate support queue;
- Assist artists and wider pipeline team with render job debugging and with general troubleshooting;
- Ensure company and pipeline conventions and processes are followed throughout productions;
- Continually supply information to the Pipeline Supervisor, IT and production teams to facilitate communication and expectations in both directions;
About you:
- 1+ years of experience in a production environment in Animated Feature Films, TV Series or VFX
- Python and/or API/programming knowledge;
- Ability to learn quickly and comprehend custom in-house production tools;
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work successfully in a fast paced environment;
- Ability to communicate technical issues to the Production team in a clear manner;
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must work well in a team, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Highly desirable skills:
- Experience with Autodesk Maya
- Experience with Autodesk Shotgrid and Autodesk Shotgrid Toolkit
- Experience with The Foundry Nuke
- Experience with The Foundry Katana
- Experience with Side FX Houdini
- Experience with Toom Boom Harmony
