Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence. It currently owns and manages 15 casinos across 10 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and has access to OSB licenses in 18 states. It also owns Bally's Interactive International, formerly Gamesys Group, a leading, global, online gaming operator, Bally Bet, a first-in-class sports betting platform, and Bally Casino, a growing iCasino platform.
With 10,600 employees, the Company's casino operations include approximately 15,300 slot machines, 580 table games and 3,800 hotel rooms. Upon completing the construction of a permanent casino facility in Chicago, IL, and a land-based casino near the Nittany Mall in State College, PA, Bally's will own and/or manage 16 casinos across 11 states. Bally’s also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana.
Well, what about the team?
As a Product Owner you will be responsible for the ownership of one or more team backlogs and able to provide clear and value driven direction to your teams.
Reporting to a Senior Product Owner, you will excel at managing stakeholders and will be accountable for information travelling accurately into your teams and out to Product Management. Demonstrating clear understanding of software delivery, you will be a software delivery expert and use your skills in this area to inspire high performance in your teams.
You will excel in maintaining a well-ordered, transparent backlog and will proactively engage with the Senior Product Owner and other stakeholders to manage expectation or the order in which features/value will be delivered. Your experience will mean that you are confident at expressing each backlog item to the team and know how to collaborate effectively to refine each item to a ready state.
Your knowledge of agile delivery will enable you to act as a knowledge expert for your team, allowing you to add value to the process and not just execute the process.
You will be confident in breaking down complex requirements into clear, understandable requirements and stories, collaborating regularly with the team. In many cases, you will have a broader view of the organization than others and will be expected to be an expert communicator, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence skills to collaborate effectively, with an overarching goal of driving towards delivery success.
Facilitation is an important part of your role and you’ll be confident facilitating agile ceremonies, and any other workshops or meetings required to support your team. You will recognize the importance of action-oriented meetings and ensure that the meetings include agendas and result in actions.
You will be an exceptional team player, building strong relationships with Product Managers, technical leads, Product Delivery, and senior stakeholders. You will build these relationships effectively to ensure your level of understanding is respected. You will naturally understand how to test and validate information you receive before presenting it onward.
