Be Part of the Story at The Walt Disney Company as the Project Hire- Manager, Global Hardlines Licensing! This role will play a key role in the development and execution of global brand commercialization strategies and processes for the collectibles, trading card game, and trading card categories.

This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Global Hardlines Licensing.

This is a Project Hire role for 8 months with no guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do:

  • Research and analysis on collectibles, trading card game, and trading card category industry trends, market dynamics, retail landscape, and consumer insights

  • Manage internal consumer insights study development in collaboration with our DCP Consumer Insight, Measurement, and Analytics team and Global Brand Commercialization teams

  • Develop and manage strategy documents and presentations to communicate insights and key information to global stakeholders

  • Collaborate with internal partners (Product Design, Creative Design, Brand Franchise, Licensing Commercialization, Legal, Marketing, Sales, D&I teams, Cultural Consultants) and external partners (Studios & Disney Channel Content Providers, Games, Publishing, WDI, Licensees, DTR Partners) to develop and establish documents and processes that support an efficient workflow and rules of engagement for teams and their role in the development process for trading card games and trading cards.

  • Multi-task and prioritize multiple projects, running simultaneously with varying levels of complexity and development schedule

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years related experience

  • Strong understanding of brand and property positioning, retail business development function, retail distribution and the retail environment

  • Understanding of licensing and product development processes

  • Analytical/strategic thinker

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks/assignments

  • Self-starter, motivated, proactive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication/presentation/influencing skills

  • Solid computer skills (Excel, Power Point, Word, Keynote)

Preferred Skills:

•             Experience in collectibles, trading card games, trading cards industries is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $103,500 to $138,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
