Job Description

As a Quality Engineer at Aptiv, you will be responsible for working on cutting-edge applications and delivering innovative solutions to automotive brands, making mobility safer, greener, and more connected. Your daily tasks include obtaining quality metrics to ensure compliance with objectives, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to maintain process standards, and ensuring employees receive adequate training for their roles. You will also coordinate and participate in A3 Operational and Improvement Plans and Kaizen events, generate personal business plans for employees, and monitor corrective actions, contributing to the technical and career development of your team.
Must have:
  • Industrial Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of work experience
  • Intermediate-advanced English level
  • Problem-solving techniques (8D, Lean 6 Sigma)
  • Statistical analysis techniques, statistical process control
  • Knowledge of IATF 16979 standard
  • Knowledge of AIAG manuals

YOUR ROLE

As Quality Engineer on our team, you will:

In your daily job you will:

  • Obtain metrics and performance from the quality area to ensure compliance with objectives.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams in the assigned area to ensure the process operates according to the standard and/or requirement.

  • Ensure training for employees, administrative staff, and union members according to the typical job profile so that they have the technical skills necessary to perform the job.

  • Coordinate and participate in A3 Operational and Improvement Plans and conduct Kaizen events.

  • Generate each employee's personal business plan to achieve objectives.

  • Responsible for the technical and career development of staff under their supervision. Monitor corrective actions.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Industrial Engineering or related field

  • At least 5 years of work experience in the position or similar

  • Intermediate-advanced English level
