This Sales Manager role at Google Customer Solutions (GCS) in Germany focuses on leading and coaching a high-performing team of Account Strategists and Account Executives. Responsibilities include managing team operations, driving business growth, exceeding sales goals, and fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills with a proven track record of success in managing and inspiring sales teams. The role requires fluency in German and a deep understanding of the German marketing ecosystem. This involves directly collaborating with clients, setting strategic objectives, and working cross-functionally to deliver sustainable solutions. The manager will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients achieve measurable business growth using Google's products.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience leading a sales team.
  • Ability to communicate in German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing and inspiring high performing sales teams against quotas. Experience in brand performance at scale.
  • Knowledge of the German marketing ecosystem and experience working with German clients.
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a changing environment. Ability to be resourceful, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to own sales team operations, including portfolio management, team building, KPI measurement, execution. Ability to model and coach behaviours including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling.
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders. Passion for consultative solutions sales with a drive to innovate.

As a Sales manager, you'll lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. Sales managers willingly help their teams and roll up their sleeves to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management.

As a Sales Manager on the MMS Germany team, you'll lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing team to use their sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver solutions that grow their businesses. You will own relationships and partner directly with clients to deliver sustainable solutions. You will accelerate business growth and think strategically about the business segment while working cross-functionally with partner teams.You'll be an advocate for customers to help shape the engagement and program design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management, operations, training, coaching and support of a cross-program team of Google Customer Solutions Mid-Market Sales Account Strategists and Account Executives.
  • Manage, inspire, and motivate a team of client-facing and high-performing Googlers, supporting career development and growth.
  • Deliver business growth, engagement and ensure high client satisfaction. Meet or exceed goals associated with these objectives, including objective key results and relevant product adoption goals.
  • Strengthen client relations through key C-level meetings, reviews and speaking engagements.
