Job Description

The Sales Operations Manager, Devices and Services role in Tokyo, Japan, partners with the hardware business team to ensure accurate forecasting and goal setting for APAC hardware growth. This involves navigating a dynamic environment, optimizing business processes with cross-functional teams, and bridging the gap between business ambitions and operational execution. Key responsibilities include developing forecasts for new product launches using historical data and market dynamics, collaborating with various teams to streamline processes, developing product/business strategies to address customer needs and drive growth, and defining plans/roadmaps to implement change initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience in business operations, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in reporting, data modeling, and creating data sets.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative business, business development, or a digital media environment.

About the job

In this role, you will be a partner to the hardware business team, ensuring accurate forecasting and goal setting to drive growth in Asia-Pacific (APAC) hardware business. You will navigate a changing environment, work with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and contribute to the success of Google’s hardware division. You will play a important role in bridging the gap between business ambitions and operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop forecasts for new product launches, leveraging historical data and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with business, regional demand planning, and global business operations teams to optimize business processes.
  • Develop product or business strategies that solve business tests and address the needs of customers and stakeholders across various functions to drive incremental growth.
  • Define plans and roadmaps and align cross-functional stakeholders to drive implementation of change initiatives.
