Job Description

The Senior Digital Strategy Lead in Google's Accelerated Growth team identifies and cultivates customer prospects, driving sustainable growth on Google platforms. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of businesses, understanding growth drivers, and developing quarterly plans. This role demands driving customer growth, delivering positive customer experiences, and achieving customer business/marketing goals. It encompasses the full business cycle, from outreach and pitches to solution implementation and performance evaluation. Strong relationship-building skills, executive-level engagement experience, and expertise in digital advertising are crucial. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and coaching teammates to expand their customer growth skills.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience developing and pitching solutions through various channels (e.g., telephone, email, in-person meetings) to prospects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in sales in a technology, advertising, media sales, or internet environment.
  • Experience with Google Ads and YouTube account management, managing advertising or media campaigns.
  • Experience in media across a variety of platforms (e.g., TV, Radio, Print, Sponsorship, etc.).
  • Experience influencing advertisers, agencies, and clients, including executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple accounts in detail simultaneously, with the ability to multitask and strategically assess and solve client needs via sales techniques, including effective questioning, and objection handling.
  • Ability to succeed in a changing environment, with excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

As an Executive Digital Strategy Lead within the Accelerated Growth team, you will identify and grow customer prospects within a segment of the Google Customer Solutions ecosystem to set them up for accelerated and sustainable growth on platforms.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$168,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of businesses by understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building quarterly plans for achievements.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering a positive customer experience and achieving customer business/marketing goals.
  • Own the full cycle business process by driving customer outreach, pitches, solution implementation, and performance evaluation.
  • Engage, support, and build relationships with customers, partner with the internal Small to Medium-sized Business (SMB) Account Manager team to pitch and accelerate business growth, and coach teammates in the organization to expand skills that cultivate customers growth and contribute to overall team success.
  • Manage executive-level engagement, questioning, objection handling, and promoting, lead and strengthen executive-level relationships through key executive-level meetings, business reviews, and speaking engagements.
